PORTFOLIO

I’m Ira Deshmukh, a third-year architecture student at the Rhode Island School of Design! I began my education at the Woodbury School of Architecture in Los Angeles before transferring to RISD. I’m originally from the Silicon Valley, where my experiences in STEM and the performing arts shaped a balance of technical and creative skills that drew me to architecture, where I can approach design as both art and problem-solving.

Here you can find projects that trace my growth as a designer and future architect. I hope you enjoy looking through them!

For my second studio at WSOA, I created a series of diagrams, including a concept diagram. Instead of taking the traditional route, I made two collages; one for my Midterm and one for my Final. These collages capture the ideas, inspirations, materiality, and color palettes that shaped both my drawings and models, serving as visual narratives of the design process.
